The centre was originally started in 1975 as a playgroup by The Student Association and was utilised by students attending the College (now Uni SA).  Since then the centre has gradually expanded to meet the changing needs of the community.

There have been changes and upgrades to the building and grounds over the years but most of the changes we have seen have been, legislation and curriculum. Most recently introducing the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.

We are a 63 place Centre
Open from 7.30 am – 6.00 pm Monday to Friday (closed Public Holidays and two weeks over Christmas and New Year)

Magill Campus and Community Children’s Centre has had a long standing presence within the local community and is located seven kilometres from central Adelaide and is easily accessible by bus and car. The children’s centre is on stunning grounds, with a creek and huge eucalyptus trees bordering open grassy spaces.

Our focus is for all children to experience play-based learning that is engaging, educational and that provides the foundation to success in life.  Our early childhood educators work with children from birth to school age and develop learning programmes in response to children’s interests, strengths and abilities.

The Centre has amazing play areas with a large Nature play area which was developed in 2016. The children grow vegetables, pick fruit, tend worm farms and learn about sustainability as they play.
